What was your reaction when you realized you had won the jackpot?
My reaction was one of surprise and incredulity. I was at home getting over the flu and just killing time. I'd only been playing for a few minutes when I won. I was really very lucky. I shouted out, calling everyone in the family into the room so that they could see for themselves. Everyone was in a different room at the time. As you can imagine, my wife came rushing in terrified that I'd taken a turn for the worse, and was succumbing to the worst symptoms of the flu again. She had absolutely no idea. She was totally surprised.

How will you spend your winnings?
I haven't really got any plans. We have of course started spending it already. I bought presents for everyone in the family. We're celebrating all the time at the moment. The one plan that I do have is to buy my wife a new car. And naturally there are several more presents in the pipeline.

How will this money change your life?
I don't think it will change my lifestyle at all, but winning does change how one sees life and the future. It makes one feel more serene, gives you the mentality of a winner. It makes you feel better about oneself.

What do you do for good luck?
I don't have any propitiatory rites, so to speak. I'm a lucky person. I feel lucky. I've always felt that I would win something sooner or later. And of course this is only the beginning. Watch out, I'll be back!

Describe your dream holiday.
Ah, that's simple. I'd love to travel from coast to coast across the United States, crossing from the Atlantic to the Pacific in a nice big American car with my family. It's a romantic image, I know, like in the films. I'd like to stop in motels in small towns in particular (large cities all seem to be increasingly the same), small places on a human scale with a distinctive character of their own, where the people are all characters.

What would you like the world to know about you?
That I love life, that I'm happy with my life. I'm an optimistic person. I'm married with two children. I work as an accountant. My hobbies are music and the esoteric sciences. I'm a very lucky man. Thank you!
